About PetMyWallet

PetMyWallet exists because the most common question dog owners ask before a vet visit, what is this going to cost, is also the hardest one to get a straight answer to. Clinics quote ranges reluctantly, insurers publish numbers that flatter their product, and most of what ranks on Google is rewritten from the same three sources.

We do it differently. For every procedure we cover, we request estimates from real clinics across several states, record what they say, and publish the range with the assumptions attached: the size of the dog, the kind of practice, the region. When a number on this site changes, it is because a clinic changed it.

Who writes this

PetMyWallet is an independent publication run by a small team with a background in software and data analysis, not veterinary medicine. We are careful about that line: we report what procedures cost and what insurance policies say, and we cite the veterinary sources for anything clinical. We do not give medical advice, and nothing here replaces a conversation with your vet.

How we make money

Some pages link to pet insurance providers and fresh food companies. If you sign up through those links we earn a commission, and it does not change your price.
